We’re looking for a smart, problem solving engineer with at least 3 years experience programming elegant, scalable (and ideally SaaS) PHP and MySQL solutions.

Here’s what you really need to excel in this role (short version):

*Expert PHP and MySQL development skills
*Expert Javascript (jQuery), HTML and CSS skills
*The ability to solve complex coding problems
*A passion for software engineering and scalability
*Excellent written and spoken communication
*A belief that anything can be accomplished
*Experience with MVC frameworks such as Zend

Now the slightly longer version:

You’ve been building enterprise-grade software applications on the LAMP stack for years. You code in PHP5, can optimize the hell out of a MySQL database and are familiar with MVC frameworks. You take time to think about architecture and you’ve even worked on some large-scale projects in the past which required you to think outside the box. You want to work with a team of the best PHP engineers in Sydney and don’t want any office politics.

A tertiary qualification is not essential. We understand there are thousands of great programmers who’ve never seen the inside of a university.
